On my way back!

Zlatan in  Stockholm with fans, 21/08/14

bringyoursister:

Via Expressen, Zlatan and the family have landed in Stockholm this evening, with sources telling the Swedish daily that Paris Saint-Germain have given him permission to continue to rehab his partially torn oblique in Sweden. Earlier Wednesday, Z had been doing some light training at the team’s training facility. There is still no timetable for his return, even though Sweden national team coach Erik Hamrén sounded optimistic about Z’s injury when he met with members of the sports journalists club this evening, saying that although he has not personally spoken with Zlatan himself, other members of the NT staff have been in contact with PSG’s training staff and keeping them updated. It seems that the main priority right now is to get him fit enough to play against Austria in a few weeks’ time.

He was not expected to be available for PSG this week after suffering the injury in the first half of last Saturday’s match against Bastia but there is some speculation that he could be back in time for next week’s match against St. Etienne.

It was a victorious home premiere today when PSG met Bastia at a sunny Parc des Princes. What is less fortunate is that you have to step off the pitch after just 15 minutes. In the seventh minute you try to mask a shot and get hurt in the side. What happened?
Zlatan: I think it’s a strained muscle right by the ribs.
After the substitution, you went straight out to the locker room. We presume that you have been examined by the medical staff. What is the diagnosis and is there any risk for a lengthier injury break?
Zlatan: It’s not a very common injury so let’s wait the answers tomorrow.
If we look at the game, there are two first-time scorers for the season, Lucas 1-0 and Cavani 2-0. Apart from that the game tempo was quite slow at times. Is this due to that it is still early in the season, or did you deliberately hold back the tempo to be able to switch tempo and surprise your opponents?
Zlatan: Regrettably I didn’t get to see much of the game.
We hope for a speedy recovery, and that we get to see you again soon – both in the PSG jersey and the Swedish colors in the upcoming Euro qualifiers. Get well.
Zlatan: Thanks!
